The spell works and Chris wakes up fully healed.
Claire is shocked and offset by seeing Izzy performing blood magic, but she assures her she only knows a few blood spells for life and death situations. With no other way to save him Isabelle uses forbidden blood magic she learned from Alistair to trigger Chris's Emerald blood to use regeneration to let his body heal the damage. Claire says they need to teleport to a sorcerer hospital, but Izzy knows the damage is too intense and he'll be dead before they get there. While they talk however Izzy steps up the power and Chris get too distracted causing his shield to crack and Izzy's bolt pierces straight through one of his lungs. Clair and Izzy explain how sorcerer kind are actually much more advanced and have had electricity since the Middle Ages and had the internet much earlier than the 90s. Clair talks about how she's moving on to a sorcerer college in the sorcerer city of New Yellowstone, but Chris is confused about her studying compute science as he assumed sorcerer society was less tech savvy. Chris maintains his shield well as Izzy sends minor energy bolts at him and he asks her to up the power. Later that day Isabelle is teaching Chris shielding magics as Claire watches from the side lines. The two plan a private tutoring session later that day and Clair asks to join in hoping to help Izzy make a move as she clearly sees she has a crush on Chris. While Chris confesses, he lost control due to transforming without his curse Izzy assures him he'll get better with practice.
Isabelle shows up soon after having just gotten Jessica's voice mail. Chris is changed back quickly and is in a bit of a daze hoping he didn't do anything too embarrassing while he was out of it. She explains that if you transform into another living person for too long your mind starts to fade into the person's you transformed into, but it usually takes days or hours but since Chris is still new to transforming without his curse, he's too much of a light weight and blacked out much faster.
